It’s the yearly celebration of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, and visitors from around the globe are in town.  Undeterred by the growing instability in the region, 5,000 Christian pilgrims attended the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem’s yearly “Feast of Tabernacles” held in Israel’s capital.

These Christian Zionists have heeded the call to come to Jerusalem as symbolic forerunners of the biblical prophecy found in Zechariah chapter 14. The text points to the day when people from the nations will worship in the Holy City during Sukkot.

“We love you Israel,” chanted Christians, many of whom waved flags and donned their national colours at the Jerusalem March today.  Crowds of cheering Israelis lined the narrow roads to get a glimpse of some of Israel’s most loyal friends “walking out” the biblical prophecy on the streets of Jerusalem.
