Ancient Hebrew is the only language in history to be restored as a language spoken by the people after being phased out of common use. After circa 200 AD Hebrew was preserved as the language of the Bible and Rabbinical literature, until it miraculously started to came back into use as a spoken language at the end of the 19th century.
