Israeli cabinet ministers have unanimously approved an outline for the release of U.S.-Israeli citizen Ilan Grapel. He is expected to return to Israeli on October 27, 2011, in exchange for 22 prisoners and three detained minors. The 25 detainees hold Egyptian citizenship. The U.S. Government assisted in facilitating Grapel’s release.
Israeli Prime Minister has also increased pressure for the return Ouda Tarabin, an Israeli citizen being held for over 11 years in an Egyptian prison.
